OUTSPOKEN, SASSY, ARGUMENTATIVE, just a few monikers I now wear with pride—but I didn’t used too.
I used to feel shame and often prayed God would just shut me up. I read all the books about taming your tongue, but they never quite worked. My mouth kept getting me in more trouble than I could ever list here.
But perhaps God anointed me for words, lots of words. Uncomfortable words, tough words, scary words and healing words. As I mature into my BIG mouth, it’s still a rocky road—as bumpy and delicious as the ice cream. Along this journey I’ve learned it wasn’t God who wanted to shut me up—it was the enemy all along.
